The Rising City of San Jose del Monte, Finalist for the Most Business-Friendly LGU Award 2017
The City Mayor advocates for efficient urban mobility towards a walkable green city, notwithstanding the inevitable local economic and infrastructure development.
Upon his assumption, Honorable City Mayor Arturo B. Robes ordered Officer-In-Charge of the Business Permits and Licensing Office, Atty. Paul S. Vega, REE, to immediately implement the year round Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) at the SM San Jose del Monte. He further intensified the implementation of the streamlining of Business Permits and Licensing System (BPLS) in the City, as an effort to create a conducive environment for the business sector.
As a result, the Rising City of San Jose del Monte, together with other 10 local government units in the Philippines became finalist in the Most Business-Friendly LGU Award 2017. Final judging of 11 finalists was held at the Don Emilio Yap’s Boardroom PCCI Mckinley Town Center, Port Bonifacio Taguig City. To highlight the City’s efforts, Dr. Dennis M. Booth, City Administrator, showcased the City’s innovations and strategies to the judges and brilliantly responded to their queries for validation.
While the City await for the decision, being recognised as the finalist to the prestigious PCCI Award, serves as an inspiration to the City Mayor and the Business Permits and Licensing Office to innovate further to improve its services.
